writer + editor
I realized at a young age that speed talking still didn’t allow me the breath to say all the words that were crumpled, stuffed and expanding like balloons in my brain. If I was going to keep telling stories, I needed a new strategy. And so began my love affair with words on paper.
At first, my messy handwriting came in the form of diary entries in which I categorized all the boys I met in the fourth grade under “like,” “really like,” or “really, really, really like.” I was a theatrical child, clearly.
Today, I am still a fierce lover of words on paper. Yet, at the heart of my writing, lies my devotion to togetherness and conversation. I exist to illuminate the trial and triumph of humanity, however ordinary or odd.
